Ahhh Tulips. The tulip festival is an age old tradition in Washington State making for an awesome day trip. Regardless of sunny or cloudy weather, beautiful photos are easily captured where is good & true in this festival of dazzling organic color. Sandy Haight paints amazing “floralscapes” many of which are available on the Drizl website. This year she designed the official poster for the festival. Sandy has an expert eye and a fascinating technique for creating her watercolor paintings (using layers and masking) to achieve bright and vivid colors. Her unique compositions create movement and fluidity across the paper making each piece somewhat abstract and always engaging. She’ll be making several guest appearances and selling some originals as well.
“I love the sensuality of the medium, the glow of the colors and the fact that it can move and flow on its own while wet, intermingling with other colors. Magic happens.” – Sandy Haight
